Emergency food buckets are an excellent way to store a long term emergency food supply. Survival food buckets are easy to carry, stack well, and can be resealed once some product is removed. The freeze dried and dehydrated emergency foods in many of these buckets are contained in vacuum sealed mylar pouches that, by themselves, have a long shelf life. You can open the emergency food bucket, grab a meal or two, and reseal - thus eliminating the need to use an entire #10 can within a few months. These are a great option if you want to take a few meals out for your outdoor adventure, but still want to keep your emergency food supplies in the house.
Be aware that the emergency food buckets come in both a standard cylindrical 5 gallon buckets as well as cubical buckets with easy peal lids. Cubical buckets will save space, but do consider everything contained.
If you need to quickly load a truck, moving emergency food in a bucket is easy peasy with handles ready to go.
